Figma looks busy the first time you open it. You only need a few tools to get most work done, and we start with exactly those.
Frames, not artboards
Everything in Figma lives in frames. A frame can be a phone screen, a card or a button, and frames nest inside each other just like boxes on a web page.
Set up the file
We create the file for the booking app, add pages for exploration, screens and components, and agree on a naming scheme we keep for the rest of the course.
